Developing effective PD - for middle leaders

(0)
This resource was developed to deliver to Middle Leaders/Heads of Department/Heads of Year. The aim of the session was to outline some of the key points that make effective PD but also to ground this in a reflection of sessions which have been found to be useful. This can easily be delivered in 30 minutes with adequate time for discussion among participants. The document provided is for middle leaders to reflect on their own PD design to see where they might improve to ultimately impact student outcomes to a greater extent.

Questioning for Engagement - PD Session for teachers

(0)
A full planned PD session for teachers which can take from 30 to 45 minutes. The key aim is to develop questioning strategies in the classroom which will lead to greater engagement from learners. Teachers will help develop these strategies themselves so that they are contextualised. Some key examples are given as well as a link to a second file which has many more strategies which may or may not already be in use.
